How to use the common microscope correctly

Microscope is often used for experimental observation. In the laboratory, all kinds of sections, cells and small objects are observed by microscope. When using, we should pay attention to the correct operation mode

The main contents are as follows:

1、 Take out and place the mirror

1. Take out the mirror: hold the mirror arm with the right hand and hold the mirror base with the left hand.

2. Placement: place the microscope on the experimental platform, slightly to the left (about 7 cm from the edge of the experimental platform).

2、 To the light

3. Turn the converter so that the low power objective is aligned with the through-hole (the objective should be kept 2 cm away from the stage).

4. Align a large aperture with the through hole. The left eye is fixed in the eyepiece (the right eye is opened for drawing at the same time), and the reflector is rotated to reflect the light into the lens barrel through the through-hole. Through the eyepiece, you can see a bright white field of vision.

3、 Observe the slide specimen

5. Put the slide specimen to be observed on the stage (after the slide specimen is inserted from the rear of the pressing clip, it is pushed forward to press the pressing clip), and the specimen should be facing the center of the through-hole.

6. Look at the objective lens and rotate the coarse collimation screw to make the lens barrel slowly descend until the objective lens approaches the slide specimen.

(question: why does the eye look at the objective lens when rotating the coarse collimation screw?)

7. The left eye looks into the eyepiece, and at the same time turns the coarse collimation screw in the opposite direction to make the lens tube rise slowly until the object image is clearly seen, and then turns the fine collimation screw slightly to make the object image clearer.
